Meet Jake, a New Hope Cattle Dog Available For Adoption

Jake

 Meet Jake

Jake

Hello! My name is Jake and I LOVE people. Every person is my favorite person and when I'm home with my foster parents I like to be glued to one of them, pretty much at all times. I love praise and will do anything you ask if there are pets involved! I am slowly learning to play with my foster brother, we like to play chase in the backyard. I don't seem to have much experience playing with other dogs, so I can get a bit mouthy and testy if pushed too hard. I am learning boundaries and that it's only acceptable to chew on toys and not shoes or clothes or other household items that are new and exciting. I have a lot of energy and am pretty mouthy so I will need someone who can provide me with adequate exercise and keep me busy with toys and activities as well as continued training. My foster parents have a few puzzle toys they fill with treats and I LOVE those. I've also learned how to use the dog door. I picked it up pretty quick. I'm told I'm a smart boy :) I like to go for walks and walk really well on a leash. I am not too interested in the bunnies or geese that we encounter. I do, however, really like to lunge at passing cars. What can I say, they're big and scary! Probably best to keep me on a leash until I can be trained out of that habit. If you're looking for a fun loving puppy to train and adventure with, I'm your guy! Fill out an application so we can meet and become best friends!
