Meet Pita , a New Hope Cattle Dog Available For Adoption
Pita is a sweet, loving, affectionate girl who is in search of a new home. Pita was surrendered to New Hope as her owner could unfortunately no longer meet her needs and wanted what is best for her.
Pita originally came from a breeder out of Oklahoma that breeds heelers strictly for working purposes. Pita does currently live on a farm but does not get to work the cattle. Although she has never worked cattle we think she would flourish as a working dog as it has been bred into her genes. Since she does have high prey drive she should not be in a home with cats and small dogs. Pita is kennel trained but may need a refresher course on potty training in her new house. With as smart as she is, she'll learn anything quickly.
Pita's ideal home would be on a ranch or someone who can exercise her daily for longer periods of time so that her energy requirements are met.
Pita is good with all people but becasue of her strong heeler personality we wouldn't recommend her around small/reallt young children.
If you feel you may be just the right fit for Pita please apply today!!
