Pepper

Meet Pepper, a sweet, affectionate, smart little boy that’s had a rough start. Pepper was found near a busy road with his brother, Salt, at around six months old. Who knows what his first six months looked like, but we can only guess it wasn’t the loving, nurturing home he deserved. Luckily, these brothers were picked up and made their way to Colorado. Pepper came to us as a temporary foster. He was shy at first, but quickly warmed up to life on our little farm. He stole our hearts, so we offered to continue fostering him. Pepper has learned to trust, and with that has gained confidence. Pepper goes into his crate and sleeps all night. He also naps well in his crate when needed during the day. He sits on command and waits to be released for his meals. He’s working on leash manners. He does pretty well when calm dogs walk by, just a little pulling and whining, but barking dogs get him excited. He’s also potty trained. He loves playing with his foster sister, chasing balls, chewing on squeaky balls, taking all the stuffies outside, food, and being near us. Pepper needs a confident, calm leader who will give him the time, training and patience he needs to feel safe. In return, he will gladly do anything to please. You can see more pictures and videos of Pepper on his foster’s instagram page @fosterpupsofthunderbeefarms
