Rune - COURTESY LISTING

Rune is a sweet, affectionate, active, and silly rescue pup. He is very smart and well trained. He has never had issues with chewing or counter-surfing. He loves to cuddle with people, and learn new tricks. He is very smart and loves to show off all the many tricks he knows (sit, stay, lay, weave through legs, spin, right paw, left paw, "come" to sit facing me, heel to sit at my side, and more). He would do best with older children. He can be dog reactive and should be introduced correctly and slowly to others. Call 602.524.9305 if interested.

Menita

Mineta is a darling size with a personality to match. She has a mellow temperament and although can be a little shy in new circumstances, becomes comfortable quickly with some loving guidance and patience. She loves belly rubs and meeting new people, walks well on a leash and is house trained. She has been dog friendly with those she has met. Mineta is at ease staying in the crate but still needs crate training to go in. She is gaining confidence as she experiences being in a home, going on car rides, taking walks to the park, etc. and is an absolute love bug.

Tanner (5 months)

Learn more about Tanner

Tanner

Tanner is a gentle boy who is calm yet playful. Many think his name should be BANDIT because of the mask around his eyes & he "steals the hearts" of everyone he meets. He loves to fetch balls, fuzzy toys, tug of war, and his favorite is chewing and collecting bones. Tanner places bones in the middle of the room, is highly intelligent, and loves the great outdoors. He is learning to ring the bells to go outside. He is Not fully potty trained yet doing very well! We think he would do best/benefit with another dog mate as he seems to snuggle, play, & learn as well as have confidence when not alone. He literally sleeps ALL night from 11 to 6am then whines to go out from kennel. Tanner is doing well with our Maine Coon Cat! He attempts to play..in true heeler fashion by slight nip or bark yet NOT in a threatening manner....it is truly a playful, curious behavior.. Chewy the cat walks right up to Him and lays on floor and Tanner doesn't bother with him.. Good with Kids, Cats, other Dogs...Calmest Heeler, we have seen!!!

Learn more about Barry

Barry

Barry is a sweet boy who loves to hike and go on walks. He is a little wary of new people, but warms up with proper introductions, (but good meeting new dogs). He loves playing with other dogs and, older children recommended. He shows strong prey drive with squirrels and rabbits, so probably no cats either. He’ll take a bit to settle into his home, but he gets a little better everyday and loves being rewarded with belly rubs. He will be your velcro activity buddy and is looking for a home with lots of guidance and activity. Barry loves hiking along the streams and trails where he can just explore and be with his family.

Carlos

Hola, I am Senor Carlos! I have progressed from a fearful and timid dog who occasionally nipped to a dog who enjoys running along side a bike and conquering new adventures. With the help of my trainer, Lena Johnson, I have learned to calm myself in stressful situations and handle situations without reacting. Through her innovative technique of blindfolding me I have learned how to use my nose and smell my way through environmental stressors. Because of this training I am much better with people and good with dogs and cats. For information, pictures, or videos, contact Lena at (719) 678-3335.

Teddy (2 years, 3 months)

Learn more about Teddy

Teddy

This handsome young man has learned so much in the last 2 months. He is the sweetest boy around also. He’s about 2 years old, found as a stray in Roswell, NM, and is neutered, microchipped, and house trained. He will thrive in a home filled with love, attention, patience, another dog, and probably where someone works from home as he loves to be with his humans. He does well with other dogs. He will need extra TLC and patience to learn the routine of the home initially and build trust. He has gained some confidence and has been going in the fenced yard without a leash now and is so so happy to run around the backyard chasing his friend. Since he has gotten used to his foster family and resident dog, he is less of a flight risk than he was initially. He loves to play with the dog he lives with and really loves to pounce and play in the snow! He seems very content while snuggling on the couch while the foster family watches TV. He has learned so much from his new friend at the foster home and has started to come out of his shell, but still is a little shy. With some time, lots of love, attention, and patience, this handsome boy will add so much to a family as they don’t come any sweeter!!!

Momma & Hank (Courtesy Listing)

Hank is a sweet, affectionate 60lb loyal floppy eared healer. He is very smart and trained (he herds his sister “Momma” and keeps her from wondering off – they are best friends). He does not chew or counter-surf but is interested to know what is cooking up there on the stove. Hank will sit next to you on the couch, however, is content to lay at your feet or on in his bed. He is very smart and loves to chase the ball but is not high maintenance and does like his naps. Momma is the sweetest girl ever – we rescued her when she was about 9 mo old after just having 8 puppies. She will love you with her eyes when you tell her what a “good good girl” she is. She is 65lbs of soft soft fur. She is very smart, comes when called – and currently working on a vibrating collar for recall. (her brother Hank herds her and keeps her from wondering off – they are best friends). She does not chew and loves to be a part of the family. Rosalie (9 months)

Learn more about Rosalie

Rosalie

Rosalie is a darling little princess! She's nervous at first, when meeting new people, but has quickly learned people mean pets and snuggles. She has been getting along well with her bigger foster brother, and would likely love having another dog in the house to help her learn the ropes. She's very mellow for a cattle dog mix once she gets her wiggles out, and just wants to cuddle with you in your lap or at your feet. She loves to play with her toys, other dogs, and is even learning to respect the resident cats! Rosalie is crate trained, potty trained, and sleeps through the night in or out of her kennel. Although, she would certainly prefer a nice soft bed to share with her person! When Rosalie is meeting strangers her tendency is to bark but she is getting more comfortable and confident as she is getting socialized. She doesn't bark or get destructive when left home alone or in her kennel for a few hours a day, so despite her nervousness, she isn't likely to bother the neighbors!

Rojito (9 months)

Learn more about Rojito

Rojito

Rojito is a heeler mix, who is sweet once he is comfy with surroundings. Loves kids, people, and seems dog friendly once he gets slow introduction. . He is better sharing toys ( loves stuffed squeaker toys) with dogs thanks to his foster home working with him. Rojito gets anxious when a dog comes around his crate too but that is his safe spot and he’s getting better. He must have been bullied while out on the streets. Belly rubs, treats, and scratches behind his ears are things he sure enjoys. Give him time and socialization by walking on a leash - he enjoys those walks, and being around different surroundings and he’ll be a fun dog to have .. Would love a patio or outdoor balcony as basking in sun is his favorite relaxing moment.
