Boogie is an awesome dog, what we like to call a "Diamond in the RUFF". He is very energetic and tends to jump up on people when first meeting them. However he is super smart and treat motivated, so training him out of that is very doable. If you want a fetcher, then Boogie is the dog for you. In fact he gets fixated on the ball to the point of shutting out everything else (Can you say "working dog"?). He's great on a leash and is very loyal. He wants to please, so his adopter should be experienced with cattle dogs, have patience, know how to be the boss, and able to help him become the loving, faithful dog we know he can be. Dogs like Boogie are why people become so loyal to the ACD/Heeler breed. Whoever decides to become his new forever family will not be sorry.
