Meet Bently, a New Hope Cattle Dog Available For Adoption
Bently is the sweetest boy who absolutely lives for your love and attention. He comes running the second you call him(if he’s not already glued to your side). He’s a pleasure to walk and sticks right beside you and doesn’t pull on the leash at all. At home he’s still a bit unsure of all the noises and movements but wants to be part of the family routine.
His crate is his safe place and he retreats to it when something makes him a bit unsure but can easily be coaxed out again. He does great in it overnight or when we leave the house.
He’s quickly become good buddies with our Rottweiler Molly and they’ll play non stop if we let them ?? He loves his food and treats but doesn’t seem to resource guard them at all.
Bently marked a few times upon arrival in the house but I caught him both times and corrected him and he hasn’t since. He showed his teeth to Molly when we were petting him and she tried to butt in- but once again we corrected and he hasn’t done it since (think he was just a bit insecure). Such a good dog overall!
