Fuego was saved by his owners from his first home as they threatened that they were going to abandon him. He took a while to warm up, but once he did he became a very lively dog. Fuego lives up to his breed and has every little quirk and trait that heelers are expected to have. Unfortunately for Fuego, his owners who saved him can no longer take care of him. The amount of training and exercise he needs cannot be maintained at his current household. Fuego deserves more, he has potential to become an amazing dog and his current family knows it. Fuego is highly trainable, but needs a lot of work and dedication. He currently resides in a military home which the inconsistent lifestyle is a major stressor for him. Fuego is reactive to strangers, so his new owners would need extra patience. He loves the current toddler that he lives with but it’s unknown how he’ll react with other children. Fuego torments cats in a cattle dog kind of way but has never done any harm to them. He needs a big yard to run around and more chances to socialize. Fuego is loved, which is why this tough decision must be made.
