Meet Maxine, a New Hope Cattle Dog Available For Adoption

 Meet Maxine

Maxine

I might be 2 years old but I am still full of puppy energy. I've been with my foster mom for almost a week now and I have learned two commands, "sit" and "flat". We are working on "wait" and "down" too. I love to go for walks and do pretty good on a leash. Other animals, cars and bikes are sure hard to ignore though. I think I would LOVE to have a big yard to run in, especially when I get the zoomies. My favorite thing is to be close to my person. I am the best snuggler. Honestly, close is not close enough. I want to lay right on top of you, snuggle up and fall asleep. I like my crate and sleep in it at night but during the day it's no fun. I can't be trusted to roam the house alone just yet because when I am bored, I find things to tear apart. I am a fast learner though and I want to make my person happy. I think I would do best with another dog in the house that will play with me and to help me learn the rules. I think I would like to have kids around too but they should be a little older because I still like to jump when I am happy.
