Mack is a stunning little girl who is cattle dog through and through. Her puppies are all heading to their homes and she is ready to find her forever family! What she wants most in the world is love and attention with plenty of belly rubs and soft blankets to curl up in. But don't let that fool you, this girl is athletic and active!
We have older kids (11 and up) and when they run around the yard, she chases and nips at them. She loves them and is very friendly with them though, and would do best in a home with at least older kids who can understand these cattle dog tendencies. She has also shown interest in chasing after runners and bikers on our daily walks. She pulls on a leash, but with a little training and patience, we think she would make a great running/walking/hiking buddy. Mack loves chasing after balls and frisbees and boy, is she fast! She also takes her job of alerting you when someone is nearby very seriously and can jump near the top of a 6 foot fence. She barks at people when they come in the house but is always friendly with them and immediately wants pets.
Mack gets along well with her two big foster brother dogs. They play tug with ropes and herding games, taking turns who is running after who, with plenty of wrestling and teeth in the mix. When the play is done, they're happy to curl up together in a soft spot for some good rest. Our boys are easy going and are used to accommodating edgy foster siblings, which is good because Mack is definitely a assertive girl! She'll do best with a furry sibling who is confident, secure, and flexible.
Mack loves hard and plays hard and would do best in a home where her humans understand cattle dogs and can offer her plenty of action and attention. She is smart, wants to please, and is very in tune with people. She is always watching and understands body language and we suspect she will be a dream to train.
