Meet Buster Blue , a New Hope Cattle Dog Available For Adoption

Buster Blue

 Meet Buster Blue

Buster Blue

My name is Buster Blue and I was picked up as a stray in Pharr, TX then transferred to the Welasco TX shelter to wait out my time or hopfully adopted....A kind volunteer contacted NHCDR asking for help and with offers to transport to a  local foster in TX then get me up to a transport in Houston, I will arrive just in time for the adoption event February 10th!  I'm a young heeler, my teeth say around 7 months ...I shared my kennel with a couple of dogs so I am dog friendly and love people too.

My foster mom has a cat, so far I have not paid it much attention. I love to play in the snow which I have never seen with the 3 buddies here at my foster home.  I did have my rear left leg x-rayed & it showed that I had a broken femur that has already healed in place nicely.  The break did interupt the growth rate of my left leg a little, so it is a wee bit shorter than my right. New Hope also checked a related injury to my pelvis.  Surgeon said my pelvis has healed on its own too.  I will need to be on joint support supplements for the rest of my life. I walk and run just fine & I'm not in any pain.  In the meantime I'm working on putting on weight (8.5 lbs. so far!) and building my muscles up.  I'm good in my crate and doing awesome going potty outside.  I cant wait to find my forever home here in Colorado!  Thanks   Buster Blue
